In many places, dance is seen as just fun. But at Joy Nursery & Primary School, dancing is a form of praise, a language of the soul, and a joyful expression of our love for God. Through the Faithful Hands project, our learners are learning how to move with meaning — dancing not just to perform, but to glorify.
Our learners choreograph dances based on Christian songs, scripture themes, and values like joy, forgiveness, and unity. Whether during chapel time, school events, or digital recordings, these dances remind us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit — and we can use them to worship.
Dancing teaches rhythm, discipline, cooperation, and courage. Even the shyest learners begin to blossom with confidence as they dance for an audience — especially when they know they are dancing for God.
The school dance group recently performed a piece based on Psalm 23, using movement to show how God leads and protects us. Parents and visitors were moved to tears as they watched the message unfold through simple, heartfelt motion.
Scripture Reflection:
“Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and harp.” – Psalm 149:3
God welcomes our worship in all forms — including joyful movement.
Christian Value Highlighted: Joy, Worship, Boldness
Problem Solved: Some children feel afraid to express their faith. Through dance, they find a bold and beautiful way to declare their love for Jesus and inspire others.
