At Joy Nursery & Primary School, baking isn’t just about flour and sugar — it’s about love in action. Through the Faithful Hands project, we’ve discovered that something as simple as baking can become a powerful way to bless others and glorify God. Our learners use their hands to mix, measure, knead, and bake with care, creating treats that bring joy to classmates, teachers, and even neighbors in need.

The process teaches more than recipes. It builds patience, teamwork, and responsibility. Every cake or bread made is also a lesson in generosity — because we don’t bake just for ourselves. We bake to share. When we give what we make, we live out God’s command to love our neighbor as ourselves.
We’ve seen how something warm from the oven can warm someone’s heart. During school outreaches, our baked goods have brought smiles to orphanages and church groups. Through these simple acts, our learners understand that even their smallest skills matter to God.
Scripture Reflection:
“They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.” – Matthew 14:20
Just like Jesus used a small meal to feed many, we believe God can multiply our efforts when done in love.
Christian Value Highlighted: Generosity, Service, and Love
Problem Solved: Many children think their talents, like baking, are just hobbies. Faithful Hands helps them see that baking can meet real needs, build community, and be an act of worship.
